James B. D'Arcy Paper Award 


James B. D'Arcy Research Article Award: JOEH 2022 - Present
MIHS continues to present an award each year to the author(s) of original from the JOEH. With the passing of long-time selection committee chair, Dr. James B. D'Arcy in June 26, 2021, MIHS renamed the award the James B. D'Arcy Research Article Award.  

MIHS Paper Awards: Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene: 2004 - 2021

MIHS Paper Awards: Applied Occupational and Environmental Hygiene Journal: 1989 – 2003  
In 1989, the MIHS Board of Directors voted to also recognize the authors of the “Best Paper” in applied industrial hygiene. Presentation of the award is made at the annual meeting of the American Conference of Governmental Hygienists to the authors of the outstanding paper in Applied Occupational and Environmental Hygiene journal during the previous year. The Outstanding paper is chosen by the MIHS Award Committee, a committee appointed by the president of the Society each year specifically for this purpose. 

MIHS Paper Awards: American Industrial Hygiene Association Journal: 1957 – 2003
The Michigan Industrial Hygiene Society Award was established by the Society in 1957 as recognition of outstanding publication in the American Industrial Hygiene Association Journal. Presentation of the award is made at the annual meeting of the American Industrial Hygiene Association to the Authors of the outstanding paper in the AIHA Journal during the previous year. The award was first presented in 1958. The Outstanding paper is chosen by the MIHS Award Committee, a committee appointed by the president of the Society each year specifically for this purpose.
