    Speaker Bio: Abas Shkembi, MS, is a PhD Candidate in Environmental Health Sciences under the mentorship of Dr. Rick Neitzel, PhD, CIH, FAIHA at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Abas has a MS in Industrial Hygiene ('23) and a BS in Statistics ('20) also from the University of Michigan. Abas's main research focus is developing spatiotemporal estimates of worker populations exposed to various chemical, physical, biological, and psychosocial hazards. His research draws from industrial hygiene, environmental justice, and spatial statistics to better understand environmental and occupational health disparities across the US.
